Threshold began the way a lot of good things do — with someone paying attention.
It didn't start with a business plan. It started with watching someone close move through perimenopause and menopause, and noticing how little there was to meet her there. Plenty of noise, plenty of products, plenty of advice — but almost nothing that felt considered, private, or genuinely on her side.
What was missing
The tracking apps she tried were built for other things — clinical dashboards, or streak-chasing habit trackers that made a hard week feel like a personal failure. The advice online was loud and certain, and rarely the same twice. What she actually wanted was gentler than any of that: somewhere to notice how she felt, keep a little record without pressure, and feel prepared rather than dismissed when she saw her GP.
She didn't need another app telling her what to do. She needed one that would simply help her keep track, and take her seriously.
So we built it
Threshold is that gentler thing. Daily notes instead of streaks. Patterns reflected back, never a diagnosis. A clear summary to carry into an appointment. Everything private, on her own device, unless she chooses otherwise. Nothing to keep up with, and nothing to fail at.
The name says the rest. The change isn't a fault to be fixed — it's a threshold, a passage from one part of life to the next. We wanted to build something that treats it that way: patient, respectful, and kind. It's shaped far more by listening than by telling.
If any of this sounds like what you've been looking for, we'd love for you to try it.
Threshold is not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for a doctor or practitioner. It helps you notice and remember — the rest is a conversation for you and your GP or health practitioner.
A doorway, not a diagnosis.
A patient companion for the change — private, and entirely your own.
